Møn & Nyord offers many exciting sights. Here is a list of things to see in the area.
Møns Klint
Probably the most famous landmark on Møn, Møns Klint is Denmark’s highest cliff, with a height of up to 128 metres and a length of 7km.
The cliff consists of chalk deposits formed at the end of the Cretaceous period, about 75 million years ago.
You can learn more about the history of Møns Klint by visiting GeoCenter Møns Klint which is open every day of the week from 11:00 to 17:00.
Liselund
Liselund Castle and its gardens are a romantic site filled with summer houses, garden monuments and small buildings.
Ulvshale
Ulvshale is a beautiful peninsula, north of Stege, known for its dense forests and popular beach. The beach is located 6,8KM from Ragnhilds Gård.
Ulvshale Forest has been protected since 1929 and has been allowed to develop like Denmark’s original primeval forests.
Nyord Church
Nyord Church was constructed in 1846 by Otto M. Glahn, using Frederiksberg Church as inspiration. The church is an octagonal building located in the middle of Nyord town, directly opposite Ragnhilds Gård.
Outside the church is the church bell, which hangs from a single wooden bell tower.
Røret
From the harbour in Nyord you can take a trip with the old mail boat, Røret, to Stege or Kalvehave.
